Doctor by the Universidad de León with the thesis La dirección y el liderazgo de calidad en los centros educativos 2005. Supervised by Dr. Isabel Cantón Mayo.

Head of the Department of General Didactics, Specific Didactics, and Theory of Education, University of León. Member of the EVORI Research Group at the University of León, her work is developed in the Area of Didactics and School Organization. Her teaching and research lines are related to multidisciplinary fields of Educational Innovation, including areas of work such as School Organization, European Convergence, Models of Educational Quality, ICT (Information and Communication Technologies), Special and Inclusive Education, and Introduction to Teaching. It is worth mentioning her participation in competitive research projects - both national and international. She has authored more than 40 scientific studies in multidisciplinary, open, diverse, and rigorous indexed journals, aiming to share and manage knowledge in the field of education. Her work also includes books and book chapters published by prestigious publishers related to Innovation in Education. In the teaching realm, since 2001, she has been providing education across various university cycles: teaching in Teacher Training Diplomas, Degree in Psychopedagogy, Pedagogical Aptitude Course, and Doctoral Courses; Bachelor's Degrees in Early Childhood Education and Social Education, University Master's Degree in Educational Guidance, University Master's Degree in Teacher Training for Compulsory Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training, and Language Teaching, and University Master's Degree in Research in Educational Psychology and Educational Sciences. This is in addition to teaching at foreign universities, as a result of more than two years of teaching and research stays at prestigious centers outside Spain.
