Doctor by the Universidad de León with the thesis Carex sect. Fecundae a boreotemperate genus radiated in the neotropics 2026. Supervised by Dr. Carmen Acedo, Dr. Pedro Jiménez Mejías.

I'm mainly interested in plants systematics and taxonomy, with special focus on monocotyledons and the genus Carex. I'm currently working on my PhD about the Neotropical group Carex sect. Fecundae at Universidad de León (Spain). I study the taxonomy of this group using morphological and molecular tools.
