Abstract

When making an economic study of 34 operations during years 2003 and 2004 located in the community of Castile and Leon, we had to define and to consider the variable expenses of the operations, those of the feeding, are those that involve greater complexity. We considered the purchases of raw materials, like consumptions, we included the expenses of agriculture. The costs of earth with destiny to the cattle, we considered its agricultural production considered and its price in the market. The obtained results even reflect great variability in anyone of the exploitation systems of the years of the study. The intensive cattle ranches are spent 80% of the variable costs in feeding, as opposed to the operations that have agricultural resources destiny to the cattle, which single they disburse a 65%. But, if we considered the consumption with our formula the cattle ranches with agrarian resources are spent 20€ by ewe less in feeding than in the intensive cattle ranches.
