Résumé
We are still far from having a panoramic view of what the translator’s task was throughout the 1,000 years of the Peninsular Middle Ages, when a multi-faceted textual corpus was created, of which only one facet – the book – is now given the attention it deserves. In the meantime, other clearly distinct sub-corpuses have been ignored, not only for having a different textual status, but also, more importantly, because of the different translation strategies that each one of them requires.
