Resumo

The Cantabrian area belonging to the "Comunidad Autónoma de Castilla y León" has a high floristic diversity as a consequence of the different microclimates, the altitudinal gradient, and various woil types. Its floristic diversity has a high degree of endemicity with 16% of the endemic Iberian-Balearic flora. In a general way we can say that about 10% of its flora consists in taxa of special interest, as well by its endemicity, as by its singularity as a result of the scarce populations and specimens, and to be in the border of its area, or to be under different threats, etc. There are more than 300 taxa in this situation, and 143 of them are proposed to be protected in several ways in the future regional law.
