Abstract

In this article is analyzed the role that played the chivalrous movement as device of conformation of the regular and predictable behavior of the laic nobility in the Middle Ages. To the extent that this device took the gestures and the exploits as the better form of affirmation, it is to say, the moderate gestures and the big exploits, one affirms that the above mentioned device was particularly bodily. By comparison documentary it emphasizes the importance of the body in the technical configuration of the chivalric practices and also the scenographic and symbolic derivation of the bodily expressions in the formation process of the nobility as a social category distinguished.
