Abstract

We present a descriptive study about the overlapping of attentional, hyperactivity and impulsivity disorders in writing composition of students with learning disabilities. Writing composition measurements and other psychological ones were taken, such as intelligence or achievement. The sample consisted of 213 students from 7 to 16 years old, all of them with low achievement and/or learning disabilities, tested individually, selected from 19 different schools. Data shows that in order to better understanding the nature of these disorders, and to overcome the shortcomings of this research, it is necessary to know, not only the cognitive profiles but also those concerning the achievement, as well as the use of other neuropsychological measurements and the family and school contexts.
