Abstract

The European Higher Education Area (EHEA) requires the implementation of new educational techniques capable of developing the skills that students will need in their professional future. To achieve this, the teaching community has proposed different methodologies, among which Design Thinking stands out. Design Thinking is a technique that has been adopted by companies and universities to promote transversal skills such as creativity, teamwork and critical thinking. The popularity of Design Thinking methodology has generated a large number of scientific works. The objective of this work is to clarify the main experiences in which Design Thinking in Higher Education has been applied through a review of the literature. This will help establish the main foundations and develop a systematic application of this methodology.
