Lecturer in Sports Biomechanics at the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences in the Universidad de León. Member of more than 50 research projects, being head researcher in 21 and assistant researcher in 35 (> 1.5 M€). Highlight nine transference of knowledge project with different professional teams and high performance centers of sport (Deportpublic SL, Phonak International, Euskaltel-Euskadi, TRAGSA, Consejo Superior de Deportes). Author of more than 40 JCR publications (mainly in the first and second quartiles of Sports Sciences category) and more than 60 publications in other databases (Scopus, SJR, DICE…), being first, correspondence or supervisor in the majority of them. The Spanish Ministery of Universities recognized 5 x 6-years research and transference of knowledge periods. Supervisor of five PhD students with international publications (Herrero JA, Rodriguez-Marroyo JA, Vaquera A, Ogueta-Alday A, Ferrer-Roca V), obtaining three of them the Award to the best Tesis for the University of Leon. Member of the Editorial Board of two Spanish Journals and Assistant Reviewer of more than 10 international journals (Journal of Applied Biomechanics; Journal of Sports Sciences; Sports Biomechanics; etc.) Member of both Spanish Society of Sports Biomechanics (President from 2023 to today) and International Society of Biomechanics in Sports. More than 700.000 readings in ResearchGate, with more than 1000 readings per week during the last year (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Juan_Garcia-Lopez/stats). The research interest of the publications in ResearchGate is higher than 3000. More than 3000 citations in Google Scholar, with more than 200 citation per year during the last six years.
