Abstract

This work analyzes the tax proposals derived from the “Fit for 55”, proposed by the European Union as a mechanism to achieve the commitments included in the European Green Deal, derived from the Paris Agreement and, particularly, the objective, by 2030, of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 55% compared to 1990 data and achieving climate neutrality in 2050. Although the legislative measures included in “Fit for 55” are diverse nature, some directly affect taxation, highlighting among these a profound reform of the Energy Taxation Directive, from 2003
