Laburpena

The demand from Physical Education students for new content, makes the implementation of parkour in the classroom an ideal subject at present. The origin and values of this sport also provide multiple educational opportunities concerning the development of various competencies related to individual and group responsibility, autonomy, and self-regulation. In this regard, the methodological foundations of the Attitudinal Style (AS) emerge as an excellent choice for addressing this content. This paper presents and analyses an experience of implementing parkour through AS in a 3rd year secondary school class. It is concluded that such implementation achieves a comprehensive development of students in terms of cognitive-intellectual capacities, but above all, in the realm of affective-motivational aspects, interpersonal relationships, and social integration.
