Abstract

The ethical dimension of the use of Artificial Intelligence represents a concern of transcendental importance, susceptible to being studied from various perspectives. One of them —less known— is precisely the one followed in this work, an observer of judicial ethics from the analysis and assessment of the Opinions of the Judicial Ethics Commissions, Spanish and Ibero-American respectively. In order to properly lead to the analysis of the very recent Opinion of the Ibero-American Commission on Judicial Ethics —the Twenty-fourth, referring specifically to the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence— the previous Opinions relating to the use of social networks and technological means are analyzed first, as an essential effort to appreciate their true contribution to the excellent performance of the judicial community. Furthermore, and in order to focus the analysis of the aforementioned Opinion in light of the projected Regulation on Artificial Intelligence in the European Union, a study is carried out of the essential aspects of the same and, in particular, the ethical risks of using it. in the field of the administration of Justice.
