Abstract

Currently, the large growth in university supply is producing a surplus of qualified job seekers who cannot be absorbed by the labour market. This leads to situations of labour mismatch. The aim of this study is to describe the factors associated with the training-employment mismatch in graduates in the socio-educational field, specifically in the degrees of Social Work, Primary Education, Early Childhood Education and Social Education. A large sample of national data was used. The results indicate that educational variables, including completion of other university studies, are particularly important in predicting mismatches. The mismatches are also found to be linked to those workers with part-time work.
