Abstract
A study of different parameters was carried out in a feedlot during seven years and their relationship with the mortality, mobility and slaughterhouse losses was evaluated. Increases in mortality and mobility (1,33% and 7,6%, respectively) during the summer was observed, decreasing in winter (0,72% and 3,2%, respectively). A significant correlation was found between mortality/mobility and temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and farms of origin of lambs. Respiratory diseases were the main cause of losses of health origin, either acute (67% of losses due to mortality/mobility) or chronic (25,07% of lungs destroyed in slaughterhouse).
