This work describes the occurrence of the nervous form of Maedi-Visna (MV) in six sheep younger than one year, belonging to four different flocks. A severe non-suppurative leukoencephalitis was observed in the animals studied and the presence of MV virus in the lesions confirmed by immunohistochemistry and PCR.
