Résumé

A case of generalized tuberculosis in a adult sheep with progressive loss of condition is described. Gross pathologic lesions were characterized by numerous miliary nodules in yeyunal Peyer´s patches, mesenteric and mediastinal lymph nodes, lungs and liver. Microscopic examination of these organs and spleen, kidney and mammary gland revealed multiple granulomas, some with necrosis and mineralization, with abundant giant and epithelioid cells, lymphocytes and some neutrophils. A carcinoma coexist with intestinal tuberculous lesions. The presence of M. avium subsp. avium was confirmed by culture and PCR studies.
