Abstract

When studying the factors that influence the milk production in 45 farms of ovine of race Assaf and Castellana, with a census of 20419 ewes and a total of 49945 childbirths, we obtained the percentage of variance of farm, the year of childbirth, the month of the childbirth, I number of childbirth, the open type of childbirth and interval childbirth-fertilization(days) on the milk production to 150 days. The open days have a percentage of variance of 3.75% in Assaf and of Castilian 1.02% in the influence of the obtained and graduated open days in months, it demonstrates that the Assaf ewes that cover during first months postchildbirth both produce less around 84 liters than the rest, the ewes that cover themselves between third and fifth month reduction is of 36 liters. In the case of the Castilian ewes single there is lost productive important in both a first months postchildbirth of 16 liters. The obtained results animate to us to force the coverings in Assaf ewes between the third and fifth month postchildbirth and in Castilian ewes between second and third. The lost ones of production are compensation with the following cycle.
