Abstract
A control of Maedi-Visna in a Assaf flock of high seroprevalence (89-92%) is evaluated. The managementprocedures are mainly based on the separation of ewe lambs from the mothers after natural ingestionof colostrum and their incorporation with the rest of the flock at the beginning of the firstlactation. The seroprevalence has declined to 52% after four years
