Abstract

Daylight hours have been and continue to be an important variable that influences the behavior and cognition of living beings. In this study, a total of 20 university subjects aged between 21 and 26 years were evaluated at two different times of day (morning and evening) by the d2 Selective Attention Test. The results confirm the close relationship between extraversion personality type, intermediate-evening chronotype and obtaining better results in the test conducted in the afternoon, compared to the one held in the morning. And they have refuted the findings of existing studies, because subjects with high levels of neuroticism, have improved productivity in the test conducted in the afternoon, though they have committed more errors and omissions in the on in the morning.
