Abstract

The yield of 110 permanent meadows has been studied in the northerm área of León, in its whole as well as group by group, according to irrigation and fertilization. It was stablished the percentages of species on the dry matter of hays, resulting that from 22 to 26 species acummulate from 81 % to 93 % of the foresaid dry matter. Using the stepwise regression technique, the species which keep a higher influence in the yield of the different groups have been clasified. After selecting from 5 to 12 species of high influence it could be stablished that they justify the percentages (70 %-83 %) of the variability in the yield, being the regression highly significant (P < 0,001)
