Abstract
This paper reports the results of an evaluation of reformatory schools based on Stake' s model of contingency and congruence. The research is focused on the valuation of internment process and the effects produced by it, through the anaIysis of the perceptions and personal experiences of a group of juvenile offenders that have been subjected to this treatment by judicial decision. The report deals with subjects as boarding adaptation, discipline, human relations with boaders and educators, school and technical training, grade of organization of the personallife and the stage of moral and social reasoning. The study makes clear sorne elements that fall upon the organization of the personallife of juvenile offenders after internment, such as a job, the existence of a regular affective family frame, to have desings on the future and to take part in organizated groups.
