Resumo

In this work the analysis of areas affected by slope instabilities in the central part of Asturias (N of Spain) using the DInSAR technique is carried out. Landslide records come from the Principality of Asturias Landslide Database (BAPA) (Valenzuela et al. 2017). The methodology applied has followed the next stages: i) download and processing of SAR images taken by the Sentinel-1 satellite (from 2018 to 2020), ii) obtaining deformation time series and ground velocity maps, iii) comparison of the DInSAR results with the inventory of landslides provided by the BAPA. The results of this study can show that, in the analysed area, it is possible to detect by means of DInSAR ground deformations identified as slope instabilities with displa- cement ranges of mm-cm/year. The combination of DInSAR technology and the BAPA inventory has allowed a reliable and critical assessment of areas with slope instabilities. All this allows obtaining preliminary information on susceptibility of gravity processes for the central area of the Principality of Asturias.
