Sobrarbe Geopark was established in 2006. Since that moment, the design and implementation of infrastructures for popularizing its geological heritage began. In 2012, the Geopark Master Plan was finalized, and several lacks were identified and should be corrected. This plan identified the public to drive this information and the type of informative infrastructures to implement. With these premises, the Geopark has launched a full range of geological supplies. These include the design of a network of Geo-Routes, that are self-guided itineraries for walking with the support of a leaflet. A specific methodology was designed to fulfill the objectives of the network. These itineraries are complemented with another 11 previously designed, creating one of the most important network of geo-routes of the European Geoparks. In addition, linked in these geo-routes were revised and updated 14 interpretive panels of geology that had already installed. In this paper and in the second part included in this volume we show discuss the methodology for the design of the panels and itineraries.
