Abstract

Since the creation of the Sobrarbe Geopark in 2006, a number of strategies have been implemented aimed at providing and disseminating information about its geological heritage. Thus, after completing an inventory of Geological Sites of Interest in 2011, specific measures were designed to disseminate information about these sites to a non-specialist public keenly interested in nature, which is the most usual profile of visitors to these places. One of these strategies involved revising roadside information panels in order to adapt them to the target audience both in content and form. The present article discusses some of the aspects that were taken into account during this exercise which, together with the regulations governing the Geopark, determined the final result. In addition, a brief description is given of the changes made to information panels intended for mountain bike trail (MBT) users and the inclusion of QR codes on all the revised panels. This article forms the second part of a series aimed at describing the general geological information dissemination strategy employed at the Sobrarbe Geopark.
