Abstract
Nowadays the Asociación Española de Enfermería Docente (AEED) is already20 years old and its influence over the last years in the history of the Nursingin Spain is what we’re trying to recover and debate through this work. The objective was to identify the evolution of AEED’s scientific production. A descriptive and retrospective study has been done through manual revi-sion of the communication papers and lectures showed in the workshopsorganized by the AEED, collected in the proceedings books and usingbibliometric indexes and both qualitative and quantitative analysis. Results: we can divide the short history of the association in three mainperiods: Beginnings, Crisis and New Challenges. Few references have been found in each article and it was noticed thatnursing educators lives isolated from its own product. When obsolescence was analysed resulted that the documented references are morerecent than in other Spanish Nursing area with an annual increasing ofAEED´s production
