Resumo

The black truffle (Tuber melanosporum) is the carpophore of a mushroom living associated with some forestry species in a mutuality relationship in which both partners has important benefits. The truffle obtains carbohydrates (photosyntates) from the plant, which has a best nutrition by increasing the mineral nutrition and implemented the water relations. The vocation of a place to allow the development of the black truffle depends of geologic, edaphologic (texture and chemical composition), climatic (precipitation and temperature), geographic (altitude and exposition), and biotic (vegetation and competitive organisms) features. According that and, using related available information, a model implemented with a Geographic Information System (GIS) was generated, allowing us the zonification of the Leon province to simplify the location of potential truffle zones.
