Abstract

A study of the testicular changes in 47 Churra breed lambs induced by the administration of DES and zeranol, performed by diíTerentviae, was carried out. We verified that DES as well as zeranol administration produced a decrease in testicu lar size, hydrocele and changes in its envelopes, being more acute with DES. Also a delay in the development of the seminiferous tubules and disorders in Sertoli's and germinative cells maturation were showed. Infiltrates of mononuclear and in matura Leydig's cells were usually observed in the interstitial tissue. Other changes in the túnica alguginea, rete testis and vaginal (túnica vaginalis testis) are described.
