Abstract

Social dialogue is a fundamental element of the European social model, fully recognised in the Treaty since the Amsterdam reform. Through this instrument, the social partners can actively participate in and contribute to the development of European social policy. Collective bargaining, on the other hand, is a very effective instrument for the integration of foreign workers posted to another territory or from another state. Collective rights for migrant workers are the optimal channel for claiming better working conditions, given that they are often in jobs with a higher level of precariousness.
