Resum

Moments of changes, of advances, of facing educational challenges. We could describe the present as one of the times where teaching requires much more effort and dedication that in other historical moments. Without forgetting that the sense of crisis has been permanent for decades. The classrooms are more diverse, the most demanding administration, and families also demand attention. Talking about innovation is not new either, but it is essential to be able to face the challenges that the teaching profession faces. ¿Why are some centers a reference in terms of innovation? ¿Why are some teachers considered innovative and others continue to perform traditional methodologies? ¿Would the school be the same way if it were not mandatory? ¿What influence do management teams have on these innovation processes? ¿What weaknesses does the educational leadership have? ¿What part of responsibility has the inclusion had regarding the promotion of educational innovation? These are just some of the questions that we wanted to investigate in the different educational realities, but from a leadership perspective. The research has been carried out under the socio-critical paradigm, using a mixed methodology to enrich and contrast the results obtained. We have applied quantitative tools, a questionnaire to 316 members of management teams And on the other hand, qualitative tools, discussion groups, formed by members of management teams and aspirants to belong to a management position. The main results obtained have been to determine that the main difficulties encountered by respondents are administrative overload in positions, the little support from the administration and in addition to the starting base, the training is insufficient and not oriented to leadership. As for the advantages, it is to be able to orient the center towards innovation and it is also that this leadership is key to really be able to develop innovation and inclusion processes in the Educational Centers. Proposals for improvement have been projected based on the weaknesses and difficulties encountered in this research project
