Abstract

Electronic public procurement is a reality across Europe. National States have been transposing, to different degrees and measures, the 2014 European Union Directives on public procurement. Since its approval, the European Union has continued to inf luence the necessary digital transformation of recruitment procedures in the interest of greater transparency, effectiveness and efficiency. The regulatory landscape of public procurement in Italy can only advance on this path. This research aims to study the Italian electronic public procurement regime, while comparing it with that maintained by the Spanish State, highlighting the positive and improvable aspects of both regulations to achieve a definitive implementation of electronic public procurement and, of course, mandatory.
