Abstract

Aphis ortegoi sp. n. (Hemiptera, Aphididae, Aphidina) is described from apterous and alate viviparous females collected on Glycyrrhiza astragalina (Fabaceae) in localities of Chubut, Mendoza, Neuquén and San Juan provinces (Argentina). The features that differentiate the new species from the species of Aphis that are known in South America and whose apterous viviparous females present secondary sensoria on antennal segment III, or that have been cited in the World on species of Glycyrrhiza, are exposed
