Abstract

This article studies Gabriel Bocángel’s “El retrato, silva nupcial ”, highlighting the following aspects: the generic hybridization between portrait, panegyric and epithalamium, the organization and poetic structure, the elaboration of the feminine portrait, the influence of Garcilaso and some echoes of Góngora.
