Resumo

The main goal of this work was to establish the molecular bases of the interactions of PD-1H with its putative ligands. In the future, this approach would allow the development of an experimental preclinical mouse model capable to assess the effects of blocking the PD1H-mediated signaling pathway in the modulation of the immune response and thereby be able to exploit its potential as a therapeutic target. The results obtained with the proposed experimental approach have allowed us to conclude that the interactions observed in the human species between PD-1H and its putative ligands are not reproducible in the murine species in flow cytometry or ELISA. Alternatively, the affinity of these interactions might be below the detection limit of these techniques. Furthermore, we identified a putative mPD-1H ligand expressed in mature CD4 T cells.
