Resumo

The spatial and temporal dynamic of the aquatic and riparian macrophytic communities in the Órbigo basin (León) was analvsed. This study has been based on the variations of specific diversity and its components. The structural heterogeneity analysis and the evaluationof the specific composition chaqges between consecutive sarnpling sites were also canied out. The most disturbed rivers: Orbigo, Tuerto and Luna have high rates of change, which are gradually reduced, and they show a extended picture in relation to the less disturbed ones: Omafias, Duema and Eria. The effect of the reservoirs is identified by the reduction of biotic diversity but approaches normal levels with increasing distancia dow stream
