Resumo

Positive psychology is a recent and topical science, which has its origins in classical Greece. The medical therapies that were applied in the sanctuaries were as psychological as they were physical and were based on many occasions in the enjoyment of a sacred place, of beauty, tranquility and good company. The sports practices, the games followed by therapeutic baths, of relaxation and of the moderate enjoyment of pleasures made cure to many people who went in search of remedies to these places. On the other hand positive psychology takes from the classic Greece many topics for its investigation and study: the six virtues extolled by its mythology, the happiness, the good life, the pleasant life, or the resilience. Positive psychology was already practiced in ancient Greece as they show their myths and legends, the biography of their gods and their heroes.
