Abstract

This work carried out a literature review on self-concept and school motivation, and more specifically, the academic self-concept and academic motivation. A search of works is performed in the PsycINFO database, between 2010 and 2014 (up to now), including as key words, the academic selfconcept and academic motivation. 17 articles dealing with this subject through research that aims to try to answer questions that allow advance knowledge of the complexity of motivation at school, and thus influencing those factors or interrelations that make it possible to improve the motivation of students for learning and, at the same time, the achievement academic.
