Zusammenfassung
El orador cristiano by Gregorio Mayans and Siscar proposes a reform of the ecclesiastical sermon in Spain, through the imitation of the classical tradition and the humanists of the XVI. In particular, Mayans defended the use of quotations from classical authors for making the case of Christian principles, following the typical Patristic and Humanist practice.
