Resumen
Within the pathology of the nervous system we find a type of degenerative diseases known as dementia, and more specifically Alzheimer's disease. It can be defined as a progressive and incurable neurodegenerative condition that will affect memory, thinking and behavior, making that the patient develop an increasing disability and increasing dependence on their caregiver. It is the most common form of dementia. It is the family and close relatives who first detect the onset of the disease through early warning signs, which will usually result in a consultation with the primary care for diagnosis. This paper presents the clinical case of a patient, assessing the needs altered according to the model of Virginia Henderson and developing those objectives and interventions that from the Alzheimer`s Association of Leon were carried out to lend integral care to the pacient.
