Abstract

The Corpus Lingüístico de Inventarios (Inventories Linguistic Corpus) (CorLexIn) is a specific corpus, built out of seventeenth-century unpublished manuscripts –all kinds of lists of personal assets-. It is therefore a particularly useful research tool in historical lexicography, allowing (as shown in this article)not only to record items which are not attested elsewhere, to detect borrowings and to evidence diatopic variation but also enquiries into non-lexical issues, as the degree of penetration of the –ísimo superlative forms, analyzed in the last section of this article.
