Abstract

5 cases of tumours diagnosed in birds of prey in a period of 10 years are described. All birds were in captivity at the time of diagnosis. Four were birds for falconry and the fifth remained in a bird recovery center. The aim of this work is the communication of the diagnosis and discussing whether a possible predisposing environment could affect more to falconry birds in contrast to wildlife raptors.
