Abstract
«About Arias Montano and his Ecclesiastical Pensions: The Memorial of 1567». In this paper the circumstances of ecclesiastical pensions of Spanish humanist Benito Arias Montano are examined. This paper provides also an edition and study of the memorandum sent in September 1567 by Arias Montano, then in Madrid, to Rome in order to overcome the objections that the Holy See raised to the granting of the pension had resigned in his favour Martín Perez de Ayala, deceased archbishop of Valencia.
