Abstract

We have located the first Anemone ranunculoides L. population in the province of Leon (Spain), representing the western boundary of the chorology of the specie. It is an early flowering plant that inhabits deciduous forest environments. Its rarity in the peninsular context has given this taxon various forms of protection. In Castilla y León region is included in the Inventory of Species Preferred Care, which implies a special conservation of existing populations.
