Abstract
We have focused on the families of the nobility in the city of León during the period 1700-1850, and checking both parish registers and notarial sources, we have proposed the interesting study of access of young nobles to both material inheritance and intangible legacy, highlighting in the community property made during the marriage and the strategies to achieve the perpetuation of family house, lineage, and a promising future for the other brothers / sisters not firstborn.
