Abstract
The majority of the cities retains a part of your industrial heredity -left factories, workshops, ships- simultaneously that the industrial policy causes the development of new managerial accessions. In the first case it is controlled across mechanisms tied to the urban development policies of reutilization and putting in value of old productive enclosures; in the second case the public Administrations apply strategies that extend and create ex-novo industrial estates and technological parks to attract innovative companies and to fix projects that guarantee the productive metropolitan base. The result is a renewed presence and dynamics of the industry in the city, analyzed here across the example of León, eloquent of the visible processes in the average cities of weak historical industrialization that aspire to be competitive in the new areas of business and opportunity that shape the economy and the urban image in the age of the globalization.
