Résumé

The educational change which is taking place supported by the organizing and structural reformation within the framework of the Convergence Process of Higher Education in Europe is offered to us as an opportunity to reach the efficiency and competitiveness which society demands from Higher Education, making employability one of the pillars of this reformation. Such change incorporates the concept of competence as a key term on which the curricular structures are going to be built and the evaluation processes to be designed. We find ourselves before a very extensive term but very difficult to comprehend, for which a great number of definitions have been offered and different typologies have been established, some of which I intend to present in my next article.
