Resum
This article presents details of experiences of using new technologies in the context of the pre©\service training of school teachers at the University of Leon. The trial undertaken was based on the use of the approach termed .WebQuest. as a teaching and learning strategy. All of the topics to be covered in one course in the teacher©\training degree were designed to be taught through webquests. In this way, their use as a teaching methodology was facilitated simultaneously with their being made available as a learning strategy so that they could be used and applied in the future professional practice of the students following the course. The trial was a resounding success. This virtual teaching and learning space was named: .ABRE©\WQ.. It consists of a series of webquests (WQ), each one of which covers a specific topic within the optional course in Education and Sociocultural Diversity taught to students from many departments of the University of Leon, but primarily aimed at the students following various degree courses for primary teachers and in Educational Psychology at this University. The virtual space created is to be found on the web at http://www3.unileon.es/dp/ado/ENRIQUE/Diversid.htm
