Resum

A comparative study of complement fixation, ELISA, and 2-mercaptoethanol agglutination techniques adapted to the diagnosis of porcine pleuropneumonia, was carried out. By starting off from 339 sera it was proved that the most sensitive technique was ELISA. Complement fixation -although not as satisfactory as the previous one- produced some acceptable results. While, compared with the other two, 2-mercaptoethanol agglutination was the one which showed the worst results, as much in respect to the number of positive sera as in relation to the titers, and so we do not regard it as useful for the detection of antibodies against. A. pleuropneumoniae.
