Abstract
Analysis of material recovered from the Pala da Vella cave is used to define the ceramic production characteristics of an Late Neolithic - Early Chalcolithic transitional phase. Pala da Vella cave is located on the border between the modern provinces of Ourense and León, and influences from both regions are seen in the ceramic assemblage. Ornamental models characteristic of the north plateau are present, but influences from the Galician region and the north of Portugal are more common.
