Abstract

The present competence in textile sector compels local manufacturers to reach and maintain the high level of quality in its products. In order to get it, it is necessary ot take measures from the initial levels of the productive process, and that's where we have focused our attention. This parper tries to show the usefulness of the Statistical Process Control techniques in evaluating textile quality. In particular, univariate and mulitvariate control charts are designed to monitor both individually and jointly the differnet quality characteristics related to the spinning process.
