Resum
The Cueva de la Uña is one of the new foundings in the Northeast of the León province. This site provide to us an interesting series of layers containing Upper Paleolithic materials which enlarge our knowledge of his eperiod both in the Duero area and its relationship with the classical Cantabrian Region. The presence of typical materials from the Azilian, like flat harpoons, as has been documented in this area for the first time. The situation of this site demostrates that the high mountain was occupied during Peololithic times, against the traditional theory that denies it, because of the hard conditions.
